Watch Wolf Alice’s cinematic video for “The Beach”

Featuring an emotive performance from Ellie Roswell.

Wolf Alice have released a cinematic video for “The Beach,” a cut off their recent album Blue Weekend.

The striking visual was directed by Jordan Hemingway and follows vocalist Ellie Rowsell as she struggles with her own thoughts at home. In the video, Rowsell delivers an emotive performance as she moves from a bath to her bed. However, the water is left running and builds into a flood as the singer is trapped in her room.

“Let me off, let me in / Let others battle / Wе don’t need to battle and we both shall win,” Rowsell sings on the song’s soaring refrain.

Footage from the video will feature in a Blue Weekend short film, which is set to premiere in London on June 10. Hemingway also directed the short film, and the band are set to perform sets for its two film screenings.

Wolf Alice’s Blue Weekend also included the singles “Smile,” and “The Last Man on Earth.”
