Musicians cover popular songs all the time. But leave it to Thirty Seconds to Mars to one-up everyone else by performing not just a song—but a mash-up of the best hits.
On Monday, the alt-rock titans made a quick stop at BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge and treated listeners to a live performance of a medley featuring Post Malone’s “Better Now,” Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams,” and Khalid and Normani’s “Love Lies.”
Frontman Jared Leto and his band gave the songs a quintessential Mars treatment, filled with electronic drums and guitars. They were even backed by a small choir, whose heavenly voices helped take things up a notch.
Apart from covers, Leto and gang also performed their single “Rescue Me,” off their latest album, America, which landed in April.
