Watch St Vincent bring ‘Daddy’s Home’ to ‘SNL’

She played “Pay Your Way in Pain” and new cut “The Melting of the Sun.”

Over the weekend, St Vincent performed “Pay Your Way in Pain” and “The Melting of the Sun” from her upcoming album Daddy’s Home on Saturday Night Live.

Sporting a green jumpsuit under a Gucci jacket with ‘Daddy’ stitched across the shoulders, St Vincent—aka Annie Clark—opened with a spirited take on Daddy’s Home lead single “Pay Your Way in Pain.” Supported by a full band and backing vocalists, Clark followed up with a laid-back rendition of brand-new cut “The Melting of the Sun” while sitting on a plush armchair.

Daddy’s Home will be released May 14 via Loma Vista, four years after its predecessor Masseduction. Both were co-produced by Clark and Jack Antonoff.

Daddy’s Home collects stories of being down and out in downtown NYC,” Clark said in a statement. “Last night’s heels on the morning train. Glamor that’s been up for three days straight.”
