Watch Dave Grohl, Greg Kurstin cover Elastica’s “Connection”

Their Hanukkah Sessions covers series continues.

Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and their frequent collaborator Greg Kurstin have shared a cover of Elastica’s “Connection.”

“From Brit Milot to Britpop…here’s one of the coolest tracks from the 90’s,” the description of the cover proclaims. “Sung by the very cool…and Jewish…Justine Frischmann…ELASTICA!”

The keyboard-and-drums rendition is the latest in the duo’s Hanukkah Sessions. The series will collect eight covers of songs by Jewish musicians, one for every night of the Hanukkah holiday. Though Grohl is not Jewish, Kurstin is. They kicked off the series with a cover of Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage,” and have also covered Drake, Peaches, Bob Dylan and Mountain.

Foo Fighters are due to release their tenth studio album, Medicine at Midnight, on February 5, 2021. It will include the lead single “Shame Shame.” Watch Grohl and Kurstin’s Elastica cover below:
