Watch Arcade Fire cover The Cranberries’ “Linger”

The indie rock band deliver a rousing cover that segues into “Everything Now” and their breakout hit from 2004, “Wake Up.”

Dolores O’Riordan may have left this plane a few months ago, but her legacy still ripples through rock ’n’ roll. Case in point: Arcade Fire paid tribute to the late vocalist of The Cranberries by covering “Linger” at their concert in O’Riordan’s home nation of Ireland.

At their show late last week in Dublin, Arcade Fire ripped into the cover with the bombast and ballast for which the indie rock band is famed. And when they segue into “Everything Now,” a track off their 2017 record of the same name, you’ll realize why The Cranberries—and O’Riordan—are so influential and cherished.

The medley ended off with another life-affirming Arcade Fire number, “Wake Up,” from 2004’s Funeral.
