Thom Yorke’s new solo album, ANIMA, has arrived, just a week after its reveal. The nine-track record was produced by longtime Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich.

ANIMA is the Radiohead frontman’s third solo record, and the follow-up to 2014’s Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes. The new album, which incorporates material Yorke had had for a while, came together quite swiftly, he revealed in an interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music’s Beats 1.

“It was really fun,” Yorke enthused. “It was quick and easy and we knew where we were going because we lived with it for so long. The therapy of ‘I don’t want to write a bunch of songs, I want to just make noise’ was great and I found myself immersing myself in old musique concrète and all this anti-music and it was great. I loved it.”

The album is accompanied by a short 15-minute film, or “one-reeler,” soundtracked by three songs from ANIMA. The film, also titled ANIMA, was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, who helmed two Radiohead music videos from their latest album, A Moon Shaped Pool. It received a limited screening in IMAX theaters in North America last week and will go wide on Netflix today.
