The Raconteurs make explosive return with ‘Help Us Stranger’

Jack White and co’s first LP in 11 years.

Detroit rockers The Raconteurs have released Help Us Stranger, more than a decade after their last record.

Featuring hard-hitting anthems that throw back to ’70s classic rock and blues, the band deliver a satisfying comeback that remains faithful to the original Raconteurs sound.

Frontman Jack White’s impressive musicianship is evident throughout Help Us Stranger, yet he never overshadows the other members, highlighting the band’s cohesiveness on the record. Standouts include fiery opener “Bored and Razed” and a guitar-scorched cover of Donovan’s 1965 classic, “Hey Gyp (Dig the Slowness).”
