The Distillers return with two fierce new songs

“Man vs Magnet” and “Blood in Gutters” are their first new songs in 15 years.

The Distillers aren’t dead after all! The Los Angeles punk band have returned with new music: “Man vs Magnet” and “Blood in Gutters.”

It’s good to hear the group back together again, 15 years since they left us with their last album, Coral Fang, and 12 years after they split. Bandleader Brody Dalle’s raspy sneer is unmistakable right from the get-go on “Man vs Magnet,” which the band played live for the first time a few days ago in Vancouver.

“Blood in Gutters,” on the other hand, is a fast, scrappy rework of a song Dalle recorded for her 2014 solo record, Diploid Love.

The Distillers, who announced their reunion in January and have been touring here and there since, are currently on a short run of tour dates through California before a final show in Las Vegas.
