The Black Keys announce new album with “Eagle Birds”

It’s simply titled ‘Let’s Rock.’

The Black Keys made their comeback last month with the track “Lo/Hi,” and now they’ve confirmed that a new album is on the way. Titled Let’s Rock, it’ll also feature the fresh single “Eagle Birds.”

Good news for fans—“Eagle Birds” is the kind of infectious blues-rock stomper that the Akron, Ohio duo excel at. “Don’t nobody wanna be lonely / Everybody oughta be loved sometime / Love me right,” singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach chants on the chorus before breaking out into a sizzling solo, supported by Patrick Carney’s snappy drumbeats. In a statement, Carney called the track “a homage to electric guitar,” adding that they “took a simple approach and trimmed all the fat like we used to.”

Let’s Rock, which is the Keys’ ninth studio album, will arrive June 28. Listen to “Eagle Birds” below:
