Tame Impala drop retro video for “Is it True”

The latest visual from ‘The Slow Rush.’

Tame Impala have released a trippy, old-school video for their song, “Is it True.”

The psychedelic clip features frontman Kevin Parker performing the tune in a nostalgic, vibrant visual reminiscent of VHS tapes. “She just said, ‘Is it true? Is it true? Tell me now’ / It’s a promise I can’t make and I won’t validate / Was I in some kind of mood? I don’t know, I don’t care / Now I’m sleeping in my room, here I am, back again,” Parker sings over an ’80s-inspired pop-rock production.

“Is it True” is featured on Tame Impala’s fourth studio album, The Slow Rush, which dropped earlier this year. The 12-track record also includes the songs “Lost in Yesterday,” “Posthumous Forgiveness” and “It Might Be Time.”

The group previously collaborated with The Streets on their song “Call My Phone Thinking I’m Doing Nothing Better,” and issued a remix of 070 Shake’s “Guilty Conscience” last month.
