Sleater-Kinney demand you to “Hurry on Home”

The track was produced by St Vincent.

Sleater-Kinney—consisting of Corin Tucker, Carrie Brownstein and Janet Weiss—have broken their four-year hiatus with the St Vincent-produced single, “Hurry on Home.”

The Washington trio start off the song with acapella harmonies, but are soon joined by fuzzy guitar riffs and heavy drums. “You know I’m unfuckable, unlovable / Unlistenable, unwatchable / But just hurry on home to me / I’ve made more space for you,” Brownstein sings.

“Instead of just going into the studio to document what we’d done, we were going in to explore and to find the essence of something. To dig in deeper,” Brownstein said in a press release of their new music.

“Hurry on Home” is the lead single from the band’s as-yet-untitled forthcoming album, their first since 2015’s No Cities to Love. The new record is due out later this year via Mom+Pop Music.
