Slash hints at possible new Guns N’ Roses album

“I think everybody wants to do it,” the guitarist states.

How do you push Guns N’ Roses fans over the edge? Hint at a possible new album, which is exactly what Slash has done.

Speaking with Eddie Trunk on a recent episode of Trunk Nation, the 53-year-old guitar legend opened up about the idea of a new record. “It’s been talked about. I think everybody wants to do it, and we’ll just see what happens. We’ve been busy doing this running around the planet,” he said, in reference to the ongoing Not in this Lifetime tour that kicked off two years ago.

It may not be concrete confirmation, but it does help to know frontman Axl Rose is also not opposed to the idea. “Right now our focus is on touring and the shows, but everyone seems to be getting along so you never know,” he said in an interview with Iceland Magazine, also in reference to a potential new album.

We’re not holding our breaths, but it’s tough not to be pumped about a possible follow-up to 2008’s Chinese Democracy—especially with Slash and Duff McKagan back in the line-up.
