Santana, Buika drop fiery new track, “Breaking Down the Door”

The guitarist’s forthcoming album, ‘Africa Speaks,’ is due out June 7.

Guitarist Carlos Santana has dropped “Breaking Down the Door,” featuring Spanish singer Buika. It’s the latest single from his upcoming record, Africa Speaks.

The groovy tune incorporates Buika’s strong, raspy vocals over Santana’s fiery riffs, a rhythmic brass section and African-inspired percussion. “News came first, they called her a liar / Had no sound, mouth full of wire / Aba Tina oh, who you have there breakin’ down the door?” Buika sings, telling the story of a woman in an abusive relationship.

The track was released alongside a vibrant visual that follows a woman having a night out at a club. Shots of Buika singing and Santana riffing on his guitar are intercut throughout.

“Breaking Down the Door” is the second release from Africa Speaks, following last month’s “Los Invisibles,” which also featured Buika. The LP arrives June 7
