Radiohead launched their US tour with two shows at the Chicago United Center last weekend, and boy, were fans in for a real treat.
The British band surprised fans at their second show by dusting off “Spectre” and performing it live for the first time ever. The song was written for the namesake 2015 James Bond film, but got passed over in favor of Sam Smith’s tune. Radiohead then posted the track online as a free download, but never played it at a live show—until now.
“Spectre” wasn’t the only surprise Radiohead had in store. Fans present during the opening show were treated to a performance of their Pablo Honey song “Blow Out”—it was the first time in a decade that the band played it live.
