Phoebe Bridgers explores an asylum in “Killer” MV

Featuring an unidentified shirtless man.

Phoebe Bridgers has released a haunting visual for “Killer,” a melancholic track off her 2017 debut album, Stranger in the Alps.

The black-and-white clip finds Bridgers exploring an abandoned tuberculosis asylum, as the desolate Joshua Tree plains loom in the background. She’s not completely alone, though: There’s also a mystery man walking barefoot and shirtless along a dark, empty road. This is perhaps symbolic, given that “Killer” centers on the parting of two individuals under toxic circumstances.

In November, Bridgers released an EP alongside Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus as the band Boygenius. The trio also put on a wonderful Tiny Desk performance at NPR.
