Long Island emo outfit Oso Oso have released “Impossible Game,” the next single from their upcoming third studio album, Basking in the Glow.

The track begins with clean guitar riffs and a straightforward drum groove, before descending into a chorus that’s reminiscent of early 2000s pop punk. Frontman Jade Lilitri’s expressive vocals elevate the song’s wistfulness: “So slow down, feels like we’re rushing away / Tried my hold on this impossible game / And I know I’m wrong, what else can I say?” he sings.

“Impossible Game” comes on the heels of “Dig (II),” the first single from Basking in the Glow. The record is a follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed The Yunahon Mixtape and arrives August 16 via Triple Crown Records.
