Oh Sees share retro animated video for “Poisoned Stones”

It’s as psychedelic as the track itself.

Garage rockers Oh Sees have dropped a new music video for “Poisoned Stones,” the next single from their 22nd (!) studio LP, Face Stabber.

The animated clip features a protagonist embarking on a sci-fi adventure in an 8-bit world chock-full of strange creatures and bizarre encounters. In the background, frontman John Dwyer sings over punchy guitar riffs and krautrock-style drums.

“Poisoned Stones” follows the release of the 21-minute-long “Henchlock,” which serves as the lead single for Face Stabber. The band have described the forthcoming double album in a press release as “Soundcloud hip hop reversed, a far flung nemesis of contemporary country and flaccid algorithmic pop-barf.” If that sounds right up your alley, look out for its release come August 16.
