Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ break from recording has been short-lived. Two years on from Who Built the Moon?, Gallagher has dropped “Black Star Dancing,” the title track of his new EP.
“Black Star Dancing” is anything but an Oasis cut. The song evokes visions of a smoky, late-night dancefloor packed with punters. Gallagher channels the pop sensuality of the late INXS singer Michael Hutchence with his own crooning, and the result is an appetizing taste of his forthcoming project. “Nature is dancing, but we ain’t done yet,” he declares.
