Nirvana reunite for a surprise performance at Cal Jam 2018

Joan Jett and John McCauley joined the grunge group’s remaining members.

At the annual Foo Fighters-led Cal Jam festival, Dave Grohl revived Nirvana as he brought two of his former bandmates back together to perform favorites from the group’s discography.

Grohl, alongside Pat Smear and Krist Novoselic, took to the stage to play six classic Nirvana tracks:“Serve the Servants,” “Scentless Apprentice,” “In Bloom,” “Breed,” “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and “All Apologies.” Joan Jett and John McCauley also made surprise appearances during the set, filling in for the late Kurt Cobain.

It was just last month that Grohl linked up with Novoselic to perform the Vaseline’s “Molly’ Lips” at a Foo Fighters gig in Seattle, Washington. It seems Grohl’s determined to keep the Nirvana flame burning wherever he goes.
