My Chemical Romance might have reunited, according to Joe Jonas

Can the JoBros be trusted?

2019 might just be the year of epic comebacks: Speculation that My Chemical Romance have gotten back together has been stoked yet again, thanks to an unlikely source: The Jonas Brothers.

The pop trio appeared on British radio station KISS FM’s Breakfast Show to promote their newly released album, Happiness Begins. During the interview, Joe Jonas let slip that the beloved rock band might have reunited. “I’ve got some dirt. My Chemical Romance apparently were rehearsing next to us in New York recently,” he revealed on the show. “I thought they broke up, so I don’t know.”

My Chemical Romance’s last studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, was released in 2010; their breakout sophomore record Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge just celebrated its 15th anniversary. After their break-up in 2013, MCR’s members embarked on new ventures, such as frontman Gerard Way’s hit comic series-turned-Netflix show The Umbrella Academy and Frank Iero’s solo punk project Frank Iero and The Future Violents.

Fans have long yearned for a My Chemical Romance reunion, but so far there has been no official news of a get-together. Way himself quashed reunion rumors recently, telling the Guardian “I miss playing with the guys, but I don’t think so…”
