My Bloody Valentine debut new song live in Oakland

The new track is beautifully melancholic.

On July 19, My Bloody Valentine treated fans at their Oakland, California gig to a new somber number. Fans didn’t even know its title yet, but lapped it up anyway. Heavily distorted strumming provide the canvas on which a melancholic guitar riff is painted and intermittent vocals emphasized on the track’s wistful tone.

This isn’t the first time My Bloody Valentine debuted a song at a live gig. The pioneer shoegazers were in the news recently when they introduced another new tune for the first time at the Meltdown Festival in London last month.

MBV are currently on their first tour in five years, and are expected to drop a new EP before their next full-length.
