Muse tease video from inside the studio

The band’s currently working on their eighth studio album.

It looks like a new Muse album is well on its way. Frontman Matt Bellamy has just shared on Instagram a clip of drummer Dominic Howard recording in the studio. “Dom goes tribal,” Bellamy wrote in the caption.

The video features a slow-mo recording of a focused Howard pounding on traditional percussions, which included the bedug, an Indonesian musical instrument that’s typically used in a gamelan set.

Muse’s last album, Drones, was released in 2015. Since then, the English rockers have dropped a couple of one-offs, including “Dig Down” and the meme-inspired track, “Thought Contagion.”
