Metric release new track, “Now or Never Now”

From the Canadian rock band’s upcoming album, ‘Art of Doubt.’

Metric have just released a new single, “Now or Never Now,” taken from their new album Art of Doubt.

Coming after “Dressed to Suppress” and “Dark Saturday,” this synth-heavy anthem is the third song they’ve unveiled from what will be their seventh studio album in a 20-year-long career. It’s one to pump your fist and belt along to, with inspirational lyrics such as these: “Take the remorse out of defeat / Because everything that’s under my skin / Where I end and begin / Still belongs to me.”

Art of Doubt, which drops September 21, was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who’s worked with M83, Nine Inch Nails and Beck, among others. This marks the first time in a decade that the Canadian band have worked with an outside producer instead of their own guitarist, Jimmy Shaw.
