Mac DeMarco drops two random tracks under new band Met Gala

“Recorded earlier on the red carpet,” the singer jokes.

Of course, it’s got nothing to do with the actual red carpet event itself, but who cares right? Mac DeMarco dropped two light-hearted, lo-fi songs, “She’s My Sweet” and “F*ck the Toronto Raptors”—and they’re dripping with the Canadian multi-hyphenate’s signature flippancy.

DIIV’s Colin Caulfield, Homeshake’s Peter Sagar and Mozart’s Sister’s Calia Thompson-Hannant jump on the two tracks. “She’s My Sweet” is a groovy chillwave tune, while “F*ck the Toronto Raptors” amps up the Auto-Tune while laying down fuzzy basslines—the latter’s also an obvious stab at the namesake basketball team, which just got knocked out of the season.
