Mac DeMarco collaborates with Yellow Days on “The Curse”

Watch the trippy music video now.

Yellow Days—aka George van den Broek—has enlisted Mac DeMarco for his new song “The Curse.”

The easygoing, psychedelic-leaning track appears on the second Yellow Days album A Day in a Yellow Beat, which is out September 18. It comes three years after van den Broek’s first album, Is Everything Okay in Your World?, and also features contributions from Bishop Nehru, John Carroll Kirby and Nate Fox.

On his part, DeMarco released a collection of demos from his 2019 album Here Comes the Cowboy exclusively for Record Store Day late last month. In June, he debuted the new song “Fooled By Love” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“The Curse” arrived with a glitch-filled video, directed by Charlie Robins, which makes extensive use of green-screen and visual effects. Look out for DeMarco joining van den Broek to contribute a noodly guitar solo.
