Listen to Spiritualized’s new, spacey alt-country track

“Here it Comes (The Road) Let’s Go” is another teaser of the band’s forthcoming LP, ‘And Nothing Hurt.’

Spiritualized have just dropped “Here it Comes (The Road) Let’s Go,” the third preview of And Nothing Hurt.

If the single is any indication, the English space rock band have clearly mellowed over the years. Slow country licks and warm brass sections fill the tune, while frontman Jason Pierce sounds halfway between exhaustion and ecstasy as he languidly leads us through the Great American countryside.

“Take the road down to the stream / Be sure to keep your licence clean / Better slow down for the lights / There’s a cop up there who sits up all night,” he drawls.

And Nothing Hurt is Spiritualized’s eighth full-length record—it’s also the group’s first in six years—and arrives on September 7.
