Interpol have released a new song called “The Rover,” and it’s bound to be your jam heading into the weekend.
The upbeat alt-rock track brings back the bright, chimey guitar riffs, energetic rhythm and the glimmering highs of synthesizers that the band are known for. This is classic Interpol.
The NYC outfit’s latest track comes ahead of their newly announced album, Marauder, due August 24. Lead singer Paul Banks said in an official press release that the 13-song record touches on many personal areas of his life.
“I think in the past, I always felt autobiography was too small a thing for me to reference. I feel like now, I’m able to romanticize parts of my own life,” he said.
