Liam Gallagher has dropped the new holiday single “All You’re Dreaming Of.”
The Oasis man offers a slice of ’90s rock balladry on “All You’re Dreaming Of,” which was co-written by Simon Aldred and produced by Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt. On first listen the song might not seem like a festive tune, but as Gallagher explains, it might just be the song the world needs right now.
“‘All You’re Dreaming Of’ is an instant classic that is perfect for this time of year,” the characteristically confident singer declared in a statement. “Considering the year that we’ve all had, I hope this brings back some much needed love and hope. Bing Crosby would have been proud.”
Following the release of “All You’re Dreaming Of,” Gallagher appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show to perform the track, accompanied by a band and string section. All digital proceeds from the track until December 31 will benefit Action for Children, which supports vulnerable children and young people in the United Kingdom.
Next month, Gallagher will up the performance ante, singing on a barge moving along the River Thames for a digital audience. Down By the River Thames will be available on MelodyVR from December 5.
