Kurt Vile breaks out his harmonica for NPR’s ‘Tiny Desk’

It’s the indie rocker’s second time on the program.

Kurt Vile dropped by NPR’s Tiny Desk for a captivating yet laid-back three-song performance. He appeared behind the desk almost two years ago with Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett.

Vile, alongside guitarist Rob Laakso, kicked off the mini-concert with an abbreviated rendition of “Bassackwards,” off his latest album Bottle It In. The pair then segued into another cut from the record, “Loading Zones,” where Vile broke out his harmonica for a groovy instrumental duet with Laakso. The indie rocker went solo for the final song of the set, playing the older fan favorite “Peeping Tom.”
