Julien Baker expands her sound on new album, ‘Little Oblivions’

The singer has also shared a cover of Radiohead’s “Everything in its Right Place.”

Julien Baker has released her new album, Little Oblivions.

The 12-track record is a decisive, surefooted step away from Baker’s once minimalist indie setup. From the previously released single “Hardline” to album cut “Highlight Reel,” Baker ushers in a full band sound and even electronic instrumentation.

On “Favor,” Baker reunites with her boygenius bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus for a mesmerizing slice of indie rock perfection, while on lead single “Faith Healer” the singer turns her gaze towards time spent in the grips of addiction.
