Jimmy Eat World get emo again on two new tunes

“Love Never” and “half heart” are the band’s first songs in two years.

This one’s for anyone in a nostalgic mood. Jimmy Eat World, the kings of mid-noughties emo, have just shared a pair of singles that recall the best—and worst—of the era.

“Love Never” and “half heart” are the band’s first new music since their 2016 LP, Integrity Blues. They’re heartfelt, raw and catchy AF—Jim Adkins and company may be in their forties, but it’s clear they’re still proudly wearing their heart on their sleeve, as naïve as that may be. If anything, they’ll transport you back to your teen years.

Both tracks are set to appear on a new seven-inch, but there’s no indication if Jimmy Eat World are working on another full-length. Listen to “Love Never” and “half heart” here:
