Jenny Lewis gets sentimental about her “Wasted Youth”

The singer is backed by Don War, Jim Keltner and Benmont Tench.

Jenny Lewis has debuted “Wasted Youth,” a jaunty track from her long-awaited comeback, On the Line, out this Friday.

The infectious song recalls classic ’70s singer-songwriter vibes with its washes of psychedelic guitar. The singer also gets a little help from a star-studded backing band, featuring bassist Don War, drummer Jim Keltner and Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

“Wasted Youth” is the third single from Lewis’ upcoming album, On the Line. She previously released the tracks “Red Bull & Hennessey” and “Heads Gonna Roll,” featuring Ringo Starr.
