Iceage release trippy “Pain Killer” MV featuring Sky Ferreira

    The aftermath of taking medication that’s just a little too potent.

    Danish band Iceage have released a video for “Pain Killer,” with a cameo by Sky Ferreira, who also sings backing vocals on the track.

    The trippy, frenetic clip takes visual cues from films such as Wild at Heart, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, as well as the Beastie Boys’ 1994 video for “Sabotage.” It follows a protagonist who is hospitalized after an accident at work and takes some really potent drugs to help ease his pain. Animation in the style of ’70s pulp are intercut throughout the video, as well as VHS-esque footage of Ferreira and Iceage performing the song.

    The propulsive, brass-punctuated “Pain Killer” is a single off Beyondless, Iceage’s fourth studio album released last May. Watch its music video here:
