Hear Phoebe Bridgers’ new album, ‘Punisher’

Released a day early.

Phoebe Bridgers has released her anticipated new album, Punisher, a day early.

Punisher, which comes two years after Bridgers’ breakout debut Stranger in the Alps, features the tracks “Garden Song,” “Kyoto” and “I See You.”

The album was due out June 19, but the indie folk songwriter announced it would be released ahead of schedule. She broke the news on social media, writing: “I’m not pushing the record until things go back to ‘normal’ because I don’t think they should”—an apparent reference to police brutality in America and the protests calling for justice for African Americans who have died at the hands of law enforcement. “Abolish the police,” she added.
