Green Day release 25th anniversary edition of ‘Insomniac’

Featuring eight tracks, recorded live in Prague in 1996.

Green Day have released a 25th anniversary edition of their album Insomniac, albeit a little belatedly: the record was first released October 1995.

The 25th anniversary edition of the record includes a live EP of eight songs from the LP, recorded at the Prague stop on their 1996 European tour. These include fan favorites “Geek Stink Breath,” “Brain Stew” and “Walking Contradiction.”

Last month, Green Day put out an aerobics music video for “Here Comes the Shock,” their first new music since the release of their 2020 album Father of All… Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong stayed busy over lockdown, covering songs by Kim Wilde, the late Adam Schlesinger and more as part of the No Fun Mondays series.
