Get to know Bartees Strange with his exciting new song “Boomer”

He’s also announced his debut album ‘Live Forever.’

Washington DC-based, Oklahoma-raised musician Bartees Strange has released a music video for his new song, “Boomer.”

The clip captures Strange performing the invigorating indie rock tune, playing all the instruments himself. “And I can’t even lift my hands up / That’s what we dance for lawd, I’m going in,” he sings on the exhilarating, soulful chorus. “And right when I get all my hopes up, something explodes lord / I never win.”

“Boomer” will appear on Strange’s debut album, Live Forever, which will be released on Memory Music (the label founded by prolific producer Will Yip) on October 2. It comes hot on the heels of Strange’s March EP Say Goodbye to Pretty Boy, in which he reimagines songs from the catalogue of indie rock giants The National.
