    More grooves than a record.

Modern blues frontrunner Gary Clark Jr is the latest artist to grace NPR’s iconic office space for their Tiny Desk performance series.

Clark and his four-piece backing band lifted their three-track set entirely from Clark’s third studio album, This Land, which dropped in February.

The band peeled back the set in reverse, opening with the hard-hitting “What About Us” before upping the intimacy with the sultry “When I’m Gone.” Clark seemed at ease with the crowd, joking that he refused to take off his jacket no matter how warm he was in his beanie and double layers—and he certainly did sweat by the time set closer “Pearl Cadillac” rolled around.
