Friendly Fires enlist Disclosure for “Heaven Let Me in”

The Lawrence brothers helped write and produce the new track.

English indie rockers Friendly Fires have dropped “Heaven Let Me in,” an unexpected collaboration with Disclosure, who helped with songwriting and production.

The Lawrence brothers’ influence isn’t difficult to spot here: The transcendent house vibes hit you right off the bat, before Ed Macfarlane takes center stage with a particularly dreamy vocal delivery.

“‘Heaven Let Me in’ is a song about being comfortable in your own skin,” Macfarlane commented in a statement. “When you stop trying so hard and embrace your imperfection, then opportunities arise and doors open.”


This track will appear on a new Friendly Fires record out next year, their third full-length and first in eight years. Listen to it below:
