English indie rockers Friendly Fires have officially announced their next album, Inflorescent—their first record in eight years. The reveal was accompanied by a new song, “Silhouettes.”

The thoroughly danceable new track boasts conga rhythms, spacey synths, taunt basslines and production by James Ford (of Arctic Monkeys fame) and Mark Ralph. “I had to miss the plane to be with you / Nothing’s worth losing this moment / I had to change the plan, now I understand / It’s our last opportunity,” frontman Ed Macfarlane breathes on the pre-chorus.

Inflorescent will be Friendly Fires’ third studio album and the follow-up to 2011’s Pala. Due out August 16 via Polydor, the 11-track LP will also feature previously released songs “Heaven Let Me in” and “Love Like Waves.”
