Foo Fighters drop surprise EP of live recordings, ‘00950025’

    Listen to never-before-heard live renditions of old Foos cuts.

    Foo Fighters have unveiled 00950025, a fresh EP of live recordings from the vault.

    The three-track project features previously unreleased live renditions of “Wattershed,” “For All the Cows” and “Next Year.” The former two tracks first appeared on the Foos’ eponymous debut LP, and the live versions on 00950025 were recorded at the band’s Reading Festival set in 1995. “Next Year,” which was on the tracklist of 1999’s There is Nothing Left to Lose, was taken from a 2000 performance in Melbourne, Australia.

    On top of the EP announcement, Grohl and co also took to Twitter to call for fan submissions of their favorite Foos memories. “You never know what we’ve got up our sleeves,” they wrote, hinting at more to come.

    00950025 is the first in a string of upcoming releases from the band’s vault, in preparation for the 25th anniversary of the Foo Fighters album next year. Listen to it here:
