Dive into Sonic Youth’s extensive archive of concert recordings

    Released to mark the 30-year anniversary of ‘Daydream Nation.’

    Rock stalwarts Sonic Youth have revealed an entire archive of live recordings and footage to honor the 30th anniversary of Daydream Nation, their last album before signing to a major label.

    The performances available include a couple of gigs from 1988 at New York’s CBGB and Chicago’s Cabaret Metro, alongside newer shows such as a 2011 concert at Brooklyn’s Williamsburg Waterfront. The ’88 show at CBGB’s features a cover of The Stooges’ iconic “I Wanna Be Your Dog.”

    The live audio and video content is available via Nugs, in a variety of formats including MP3, hi-res audio and CD.
