Crumb return with video for new song “Trophy”

After entering a lull following their 2019 debut album Jinx, Crumb have returned with new single “Trophy” and an accompanying video.

The dynamic track morphs from its low-key opening into compelling psychedelic rock and a hypnotic outro consisting of distorted chanting and waves of reverb atop a shuffle beat.

The surreal “Trophy” video was directed by Haoyan of America and features animation by Truba Animation. In their new clip, three of the Brooklyn band’s four members compete as go-kart racers. The banged-up racers ultimately take to the podium in front of a strange audience consisting of cartoon trophies.

Haoyan of America previously worked with Crumb on their earlier videos, creating the visuals for “Bones” and Locket” from their early EPs Crumb and Locket, respectively.
