Broken Bells release new single “Shelter”

It’s James Mercer and Danger Mouse’s first song together in three years.

Brian Burton, aka Danger Mouse, and The Shins’ James Mercer have released the latest single “Shelter,” from their collaborative project Broken Bells.

Released by 30th Century Records, “Shelter” comes after a few months of teasing Polaroids and artwork on Broken Bells’ Instagram page. The song is the duo’s first release since 2015’s “It’s That Talk Again.” Their last full-length was After the Disco, released in 2014.

Since then, Danger Mouse has produced Parquet Courts’ Wide Awake!, while Mercer has released The Shins’ Heartworms and its companion album The Worm’s Heart.
