Justin Vernon reworks “Short and Sweet” while the Atlanta duo rap over “Goat Head.”

Brittany Howard has enlisted Bon Iver and EarthGang to remix two songs off her debut solo album, Jaime.

Bon Iver worked with Flock of Dimes and CJ Camerieri on their meditative remix of “Short and Sweet,” while Olu and WowGr8 of Atlanta hip hop duo EarthGang added new verses to “Goat Head.”

Howard’s collaborators were effusive in their praise, with Bon Iver hailing the Alabama Shakes leader as “a truly singular artist” and EarthGang calling her “a Legend, a Treasure, a Southern Oracle.”

Other tracks on Howard’s acclaimed 2019 record are “History Repeats,” “He Loves Me” and “13th Century Metal.” The single “Stay High” received a heartwarming visual treatment starring Terry Crews of Brooklyn Nine-Nine fame.
