The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon has released “You Have Stolen My Heart,” the first taste of his third solo album, Local Honey.

On the intimate ballad, Fallon sings movingly about love and loss. “’Cause everything slows with my breath / And I watch you float cross the floor / And the night came as it went / I could swear that I knew you before,” he sings over the soft rattle of percussion. The track’s accompanying video follows a couple watching the day pass in the wilderness.

“‘You Have Stolen My Heart’ is my most direct attempt at a love song,” Fallon said in a press statement. “I wanted a song that wasn’t aware of what it was or wasn’t, it was just true. The rhythm has an almost calypso feel inside of an Americana song.”

Local Honey is the follow-up to Fallon’s sophomore album, Sleepwalkers, which dropped in 2018. The new record is due out on March 27 via his own label Lesser Known Records, in partnership with distribution company Thirty Tigers. The Gaslight Anthem have not released new music since 2014’s Get Hurt. The band went on hiatus in 2015, though they returned last year for a string of shows marking the 10th anniversary of their album, The ’59 Sounds.
