Bad Religion release “Chaos From Within”

The Los Angeles punk rockers will release a new LP come May.

Bad Religion, the Los Angeles pioneers who’ve been championing punk for nearly four decades, have announced a new album and released a single, “Chaos From Within.”

The new track is a bracing two-minute assault on America’s political landscape, and leads their 17th album, Age of Unreason, due out in May.

Frontman Greg Graffin—who has a PhD in the history of science—said in a statement: “Throughout history, walls have been used to keep the barbarians out, but it seems to me the truly barbaric aspect of a civilization is the chaos that comes from within.”

“The band has always stood for enlightenment values,” added guitarist Brett Gurewitz. “Today, these values of truth, freedom, equality, tolerance and science, are in real danger. This record is our response.”

Age of Unreason drops May 3 via Epitaph Records. Hear “Chaos From Within” below:
