The “Smile” clip is a sweet tribute to the late rapper’s girlfriend, Ally Lotti. While an animated Lotti lays on her bed looking at old photos of the two of them together, Juice appears in a snow globe, makes objects in her room float into the shape of a heart and watches over her while sporting angel’s wings.
The visual is fitting for the posthumous track, on which Juice wishes Lotti the best—even if he’s not around. “I’d do anything in my power just to see you smile / I want you to prosper and come proper / Even if that means I ain’t by your side,” he rhymes.
An animated Weeknd also makes an appearance as his After Hours persona. Dressed in his signature red suit and sunglasses, the singer drunkenly tumbles out of a car and delivers his own somber verse.
“Smile” is the first single to arrive from Juice’s estate since Legends Never Die, which was released in July. Watch the video for it below:
