Watch Shelley FKA DRAM perform “Exposure” on ‘Colbert’

The sultry performance arrives ahead of his upcoming self-titled album.

Shelley, formerly known as DRAM, has made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform his latest single, “Exposure.”

Seated in front of flickering TV screens, the Virginia crooner was supported by his own backup singers and a live band as he sang a stripped-down rendition of “Exposure.” “Let me love you inside-out and outside-in / Let me touch your soul just like I touch your skin / Let me love you inside-out and outside-in / Let me love you over and over again,” he sang.

The song is expected to land on Shelley’s forthcoming album, Shelley FKA DRAM, set to be released on April 29, which is also his late mother’s birthday. “Before she passed, I played her my upcoming album and I begged her to promise she wouldn’t play it for anyone else,” Shelley said in a press statement.

“She held her promise and took the music with her beyond this life,” he added. “Her birthday is April 29th, so I’m pushing my album Shelley FKA DRAM’s release date to April 29th as not only my gift back to her, but my promise to play it for the world.”
