Watch Jacob Banks’ cinematic “Be Good to Me” video

From his upcoming debut album, ‘Village.’

English R&B artist Jacob Banks has dropped a powerful visual for his latest single, “Be Good to Me,” featuring Swedish singer Seinabo Sey.

The clip, written and directed by Banks, stars amateur boxer Stephen Adentan as its leading man who struggles to find freedom from his sinister captors. Set in a dilapidated industrial warehouse, the video opens with Adentan forced into a fierce tug of war battle. As he tries to flee the scene, things take a violent turn. Does he successfully get away? We’ll let you find out.

“Be Good to Me” is a somber yet soulful number that marries Banks’ powerhouse vocals with Sey’s silky pipes over a gospel-infused trap beat. The track will appear on Banks’ debut album, Village, which arrives November 2 via Interscope Records. You can pre-save a digital copy of it on Spotify and Apple Music now.
