VanJess drop lavish visuals for “Honeywheat”

A smooth number off their debut 2018 full-length, ‘Silk Canvas’

R&B sister duo VanJess have released a video for “Honeywheat.”

In the gorgeous clip, VanJess—aka Ivana and Jessica Nwokikie—are accompanied by a beautiful group of women against a backdrop of lavish golden cloth and curtains. The artsy Alexandra Gavillet-directed music video follows the sisters as they dance and exchange smooth lyrics over an ethereal ’90s-influenced R&B beat produced by Da-P. On the lush track, the duo sing about the simple pleasures in life: “Chillin’ in your house watching anime / Layin’ on the couch taking pictures, aye.”

“Honeywheat” is the third single from their debut album, Silk Canvas, to receive the visual treatment. The California natives released an empowering MV for the Kaytranada-produced cut, “Another Lover.”
